The Shadwell Basin Wildlife and Fishing
Shadwell Basin is an urban haven for waterfowl of many kinds. Apart from the ever present Mallards and Pigeons, the basin is visited by othe species of duck, Swans, Canada Geese, Cormorants, Terns and various types of seagull.
The basin is also stocked with carp up to around twenty pounds in weight and as a result is a popular fishing spot. The fishing and water area of the basin is controlled by The Shadwell Outdoor Activity Centre
